The airline is the first low-cost carrier to operate non-stop flights between the Gold Coast and the popular Indonesian island.

The new route launches tonight (Aug 1) and to mark the occasion Jetstar is offering flights from the Gold Coast to Bali for $215 one way.

“It’s clear Australians just can’t get enough of Bali, so we’re excited to launch direct flights from the Gold Coast to this beautiful Indonesian holiday island, allowing customers to take off more for less,” said Jenn Armor, Jetstar’s Executive Manager, Customer.

Operating three times a week, the service will add more than 58,000 low fare seats between the Gold Coast and Bali each year.

The flights are operated by Jetstar’s newest aircraft, the quieter and more fuel-efficient Airbus A320neo – two of which are now based on the Gold Coast, expanding Jetstar’s local fleet to six aircraft.

The launch of direct flights to Bali comes as part of Jetstar’s June expansion of Gold Coast flying – including recently launched new routes to Hamilton, Dunedin and Darwin – and further strengthening the airline’s position as the largest carrier operating in and out of the Gold Coast.

Sale fares are available from 10am today (AEST) at jetstar.com until 10am (AEST) August 2 or until sold out.
