Atout France has staged a one-day event designed to highlight the diversity and excellence of French tourism.
Nicknamed “Happy French Tuesday”, the event was held in the lead up to Luxperience 2025 and featured 10 partner hotels and destinations coming from Paris, Monaco, the Isles of Tahiti and New Caledonia.
The day unfolded in two parts, beginning with a press conference opened by the new Consul of France in Sydney, Gilles Barrier, who highlighted the strength of the Australian market for French tourism and the enduring appeal of France among Australian travellers.
Dominique Maulin, Interim Regional Director of Atout France, reiterated France’s 2030 objective to become the world’s leading sustainable tourism destination and emphasised the country’s strengthened positioning ahead of the 2030 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games in the French Alps.
Qantas was also part of the event to promote the QF33 direct flight between Perth and Paris, further strengthening the travel connection between Australia and France.
French partners then presented their destinations and properties to key Australian media.
This was followed by a curated workshop that gathered 17 invited tour operators for 170 one-to-one meetings and in-depth discussions, fostering new opportunities for collaboration with the French tourism industry.
Participating partners included destinations, airlines and elegant establishments such as Hotel Belmont, La Villa-des-Prés, Monte Carlo SBM Monaco, Hotel Aubusson Paris, New Caledonia Tourism, Tahiti Travel Services, Pearl Resorts, Hilton Hotels, Tahiti Tourisme, Air Tahiti Nui and Qantas.
The event provided an ideal platform for France to reaffirm its position as a leading destination for Australian travellers seeking authentic, cultural and premium experiences.
