Holland America Line is preparing to mark 80 years of exploring Alaska, unveiling its 2027 season with more than 100 cruises now available to book.

Known for connecting guests with Alaska’s wildlife and wilderness, the cruise line is enhancing its popular Cruisetour experiences to provide deeper cultural immersion and scenic exploration by both land and sea.

Sailing from April to September 2027, six ships will operate in the region, offering a mix of itineraries roundtrip from Seattle, roundtrip from Vancouver, or between Vancouver and Whittier. Voyage lengths range from seven to 28 days and include the return of the month-long Legendary Alaska Arctic Circle Solstice cruise, as well as a new eight-day itinerary roundtrip from Vancouver. More than 175 shore excursions are on offer, including a new Reindeer Encounter at the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center.

To coincide with the milestone anniversary, Holland America will debut enhanced Ultimate Alaska & Denali Cruisetours in 2026. These experiences combine a multi-day inland adventure with a 7-day Glacier Discovery cruise and now include a two-night stay at Holland America’s Denali Lodge, a visit to Alyeska, Seward or Homer, and a complimentary trip to the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center. Each Cruisetour will also feature a dedicated Tour Director to guide the journey.

New for 2027 is an 8-day Alaska Inside Passage cruise that sails roundtrip from Vancouver, visiting Glacier Bay, Skagway, Ketchikan, Juneau, and Prince Rupert. The legendary 28-day Arctic Circle Solstice cruise aboard Noordam returns for a third year, departing Seattle on 6 June to coincide with the Summer Solstice and featuring 11 Alaska ports plus scenic cruising through the Inside Passage and Great Bear Rainforest.

The 7-day Alaska Inside Passage cruises will continue roundtrip from Vancouver aboard Koningsdam and Zaandam, with a special 12 September departure sailing from Vancouver to Seattle aboard Westerdam. The 7-day Alaska Explorer cruises operate roundtrip from Seattle aboard Eurodam and Noordam, with ports including Sitka, Juneau, and Icy Strait Point, and scenic cruising in Glacier Bay and Dawes Glacier.

For guests looking for northbound or southbound routes between Whittier and Vancouver, Nieuw Amsterdam and Westerdam will offer Glacier Discovery itineraries with stops at Ketchikan, Juneau, Skagway, and iconic glacier sites such as College Fjord or Hubbard Glacier.

The 14-day Great Alaska Explorer aboard Noordam sails roundtrip from Seattle and calls at lesser-known ports like Kodiak, Valdez and Prince Rupert, with scenic cruising past Hubbard Glacier. Other options include the 7-day Great Bear Rainforest itinerary aboard Noordam roundtrip from Seattle, and an 18-day version aboard Zaandam roundtrip from Vancouver, which adds extra ports and glacier views.

Holland America Line guarantees glacier viewing on every Alaska cruise and most Cruisetours, with visits to iconic formations such as Glacier Bay National Park, Dawes Glacier and Hubbard Glacier. Park rangers join the ship in Glacier Bay to offer expert commentary and presentations.

Wildlife viewing is also a priority, with onboard experts, a Wildlife Spotting Guide, and dozens of shore excursions focused on Alaska’s iconic animals. Highlights include the 26 Glaciers Cruise from Whittier and the Mendenhall Glacier Float Trip in Juneau.

Holland America’s commitment to fresh, sustainable food continues through its Global Fresh Fish Program, bringing locally sourced seafood onboard within 48 hours. Guests can enjoy exclusive dishes created by Fresh Fish Ambassador Chef Morimoto. The cruise line is the only one triple-certified for sustainably sourced wild caught and responsibly farmed seafood.

The We Love Alaska program provides cultural immersion through expert-led workshops, storytelling by locals, and regional cuisine. Onboard programming and shore excursions are designed to give travellers an authentic experience of the state’s culture, history and natural beauty.

Early bookers can take advantage of the Have It All package, which includes shore excursions, specialty dining, beverage packages, Wi-Fi, prepaid crew appreciation and upgrades to the Elite Beverage Package and Premium Wi-Fi. Members of Holland America’s Mariner Society loyalty program can also receive up to $400 onboard credit per stateroom.
