Marriott International has signed a deal that will see the brand return to Australia’s largest city as part of a $640 million mixed-use development.
Expected to open in late 2027, the 100-room Courtyard by Marriott Sydney Crows Nest will form part of Falcon and Alexander, Deicorp’s landmark development in the heart of Crows Nest, and will be operated by Trilogy Hotels.
The project combines residential, hospitality and retail in a single integrated destination designed by architects TURNER.
“Sydney remains one of our most important markets in Australia and the return of the Courtyard by Marriott brand to the city is a significant milestone. We believe the hotel will generate strong demand and contribute to precinct activation through its contemporary guest offering,” said Tristan Cooper, Marriott International Director of Hotel Development for Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific.
“Bringing Courtyard by Marriott back to Sydney as part of Falcon and Alexander is a natural fit for this location. The brand speaks to today’s travellers — efficient, design-led and deeply connected to place,” said Fouad Deiri, Deicorp Founder.
The hotel will feature a contemporary restaurant and bar, meeting space and fitness facilities, alongside guest rooms with plush bedding, ergonomic furnishings and flexible workspaces. Falcon and Alexander will also feature boutique retail and dining at ground level, creating a walkable destination with excellent public transport connections.
The Crows Nest signing complements Deicorp and Trilogy’s separate collaboration to deliver Sydney’s first AC by Marriott as part of the Hyde Metropolitan development on Liverpool Street.
