Helloworld Travel has recognised Janene Ferguson as she celebrates 33 years as a store owner.
With more than 42 years in the travel industry, Ms Ferguson has remained a consistent presence through the evolution of the Helloworld network, from Harvey World Travel to Jetset Travel and now Helloworld Travel South Melbourne.
Nick Sutherland, Group General Manager Retail Networks, Helloworld Travel, said her contribution has been widely recognised.
“Janene has been a constant and trusted presence across the network and her leadership continues to make a strong impact,” he said.
The Helloworld Travel South Melbourne store continues to expand, recently welcoming two new team members.
Ms Ferguson (pictured above) said the growth reflects both the strength of the business and the experience within the team.
“Between our team, we have 224 years of combined industry experience and have visited 344 countries. I love that we continue to grow and share that knowledge with our clients,” she said.
She added that being part of the local community has remained a key part of her journey.
“It is a great moment to reflect on more than three decades as a store owner and I love being part of the South Melbourne community.”
Ms Ferguson has received multiple industry accolades, including Helloworld Travel National Consultant of the Year in 2023 and State and National Retailer of the Year in 2019.
