Journey Beyond has cemented its commitment to offering exceptional Australian experiential tourism experiences by adding another company to its portfolio.

The company has announced that it has acquired Exmouth Dive & Whalesharks Ningaloo (EDWN).

Journey Beyond and EDWN have enjoyed a longstanding partnership as part of the destination experience for Sal Salis Ningaloo guests.

EDWN offer an array of experiences, including guided swims with whale sharks and humpback whales, offering an opportunity to get up close with these gentle giants.

“This marks an exciting expansion for Journey Beyond in Western Australia and allows the group to further expand our offerings of immersive, authentic and uniquely Australian experiences,” said Chris Tallent, Journey Beyond CEO.

Exmouth serves as the gateway to the Ningaloo Reef – recognised as the world’s largest fringing reef, stretching 250km along the northwest cape.

This pristine environment is home to more than 450 species of marine life, including the world-famous whale sharks, as well as 250 diverse coral species.

“The announcement builds on Journey Beyond’s growth strategy, particularly its arm of experiences that complement our existing brands,” said Alicia Triggs, Executive General Manager, Sales and Partnerships at Journey Beyond.

“The EDWN offering perfectly aligns with Journey Beyond’s commitment to delivering truly unforgettable tourism experiences for your clients, going further to take guests beyond. There’s nowhere quite like Ningaloo.”
