The decision was made by the TTA board with a clear focus on the future of workforce development, skills training and industry representation.

Tourism Training Australia has supported Australia’s tourism and hospitality workforce since 1985, building a strong and respected foundation in training and education under the former leadership of William Galvin.

“Following Bill’s passing, I stepped into the role of Director and have continued to guide Tourism Training Australia’s work across training programs, workforce initiatives and industry engagement,” said John Hart, Executive Chair, TTA, in a statement released today.

“Joining R&CA is a natural next step. It ensures Tourism Training Australia continues to contribute meaningfully to national workforce strategy, skills training policy and industry submissions, working alongside operators, educators and industry leaders with a stronger, more connected voice.

“I want to sincerely thank everyone who has supported Tourism Training Australia over the years. That support has shaped the organisation and positioned it well for what comes next.

“We look ahead with confidence and a clear sense of purpose, and we’re proud to be working closely with R&CA to support a strong, practical, and sustainable future for Australia’s hospitality and tourism workforce.”
