The development marks a significant milestone in the airline’s commitment to enhancing the passenger experience.
This is the third major upgrade in SAA’s revitalised lounge concept, “The Lounge,” following successful airport lounge renovations at OR Tambo International, Johannesburg, and Chief Dawid Stuurman International, Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth).
The Cape Town lounge has undergone a comprehensive four-month transformation, resulting in a sophisticated and spacious environment tailored to the needs of modern travellers.
The redesigned space offers expanded capacity and a range of premium amenities, including curated dining areas, collaborative workspaces, private focus booths and versatile seating options.
Key features of the new lounge include:
- Copper-clad concierge desks for a warm, personalised welcome
- A mixology show-bar with expert baristas and bartenders
- Buffet-style dining with gourmet breakfasts, all-day meals and crafted canapés
- Private focus booths for work, entertainment, or calls
- Universal charging ports and high-speed Wi-Fi throughout
Guests can enjoy an elevated culinary experience crafted by SAA’s catering partner, Air Chefs.
The menu features fresh, seasonal ingredients and a variety of gourmet offerings, complemented by full-service bars and refined dining facilities that create an inspiring, relaxing and indulgent pre-flight experience.
“Our commitment to placing customers first begins the moment they arrive at the airport,” said Professor John Lamola, SAA Group Chief Executive.
“This beautifully refurbished lounge is a sanctuary of comfort, delicious food and exceptional service, an embodiment of the standards and aspirations of our flagship carrier.”
