Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) has welcomed its newest ship with the vessel set to offer round-trip Caribbean itineraries through April 2027.
The christening ceremony of Norwegian Luna took place at NCL’s LEED Gold Certified terminal at PortMiami with more than 2,000 guests in attendance.
Street artist and hull artist ELLE served as the ship’s godmother, having created Norwegian Luna’s signature hull artwork, a vivid dreamscape titled ‘La Luna’ and exploring humanity’s connection to the moon.
“Norwegian Luna represents the evolution of NCL, a brand built on freedom, flexibility and delivering experiences that resonate with every type of traveller,” said Marc Kazlauskas, Norwegian Cruise Line President.
“With itineraries designed to bring guests to Great Stirrup Cay, our private island in the Bahamas, they will have the opportunity to experience first-hand the highly anticipated offerings that our guests are raving about.”
With a guest capacity of 3,571, Norwegian Luna features the NCL-exclusive Aqua Slidecoaster, the longest and fastest slides at sea, alongside the new Moon Climber obstacle course, Luna Midway amusement park area and Horizon Park recreational space.
Entertainment highlights include Elton: A Celebration of Elton John, HIKO: Innovation Meets Wonder and the adults-only late-night show LunaTique, exclusive to Norwegian Luna.
