Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) has been named Headline Partner for Cruise360 Australasia, placing the destination at the centre of the cruise industry conference in Sydney this September.
The partnership builds on HKTB’s longstanding involvement with Cruise360 and follows the launch of its global Only in Hong Kong tourism campaign.
Cruise360 Australasia will take place at the International Convention Centre Sydney on 17 and 18 September under the theme ‘Future Ready. Client Ready. Cruise Ready.’
The two day program will combine conference sessions with an exhibition featuring CLIA cruise lines, destinations, industry suppliers and Executive Partners. Content will explore demand, capacity, product and consumer trends, with a focus on helping travel advisors respond to increasingly informed and digitally enabled clients.
CLIA Executive Director in Australasia Joel Katz said HKTB’s debut as Headline Partner would draw attention to Hong Kong’s role as an international cruise gateway.
“Asia has rapidly become one of the top international cruise regions for Australian and New Zealand travellers, and Hong Kong is proudly among the most vibrant cruise destinations in the world,” Katz said.
“We look forward to introducing more CLIA travel advisors to opportunities that Hong Kong presents for their cruise clients.”
Visitor arrivals to Hong Kong from Australia increased by 20 per cent during the first half of 2026, while arrivals from New Zealand rose by 13 per cent.
HKTB Director for Australia, New Zealand and South Pacific Karen Macmillan said the organisation’s presence at Cruise360 formed part of its work with the travel trade to convert growing interest into bookings.
“As one of Asia’s leading cruise hubs, we see significant opportunities to grow cruise tourism and encourage travellers to extend their stay to experience the many attractions and experiences that can only be found in Hong Kong,” Macmillan said.
“We look forward to showcasing how Hong Kong can add value to every cruise journey, whether as a port of call, pre cruise stay or post cruise destination.”
