The IFLYflat Flights Club (The Flights Club) is a premium membership program that aims to make business class travel a regular reality rather than an occasional luxury.
Targeting business owners generating between $1-10 million in annual turnover, The Flights Club helps members transform routine business expenses such as tax payments, supplier invoices, payroll and operational costs into reward points and business class reward seat bookings.
The initiative has been co-founded by Australia’s leading authority on frequent flyer strategies and points, Steve Hui, and travel entrepreneur Steve Pirie-Nally (main image).
“Most Australian business owners don’t realise the goldmine of points they could be earning from their corporate expenses,” said Steve Hui.
“Every BAS payment, every pay run, every supplier invoice, every transaction could be generating value for them.”
“The maths is simple. When savvy businesses pay around 2% in payment fees, we can help them extract 4%+ back in value through points.
“A business with $1 million in annual expenses is sitting on roughly $40,000 worth of business class flights, they just need the right approach to unlock it.”
With the Reserve Bank of Australia’s proposed reform to surcharges and interchange fees potentially reshaping the rewards credit card ecosystem, The Flights Club is providing business owners with the experience and guidance they need to continue extracting value from their spend.
Sara Phillips, a founding member, saved $70,000 on business class travel in just 12 months through The Flights Club’s strategic approach.
“It just wouldn’t have been feasible for us to buy these business class seats outright. Instead, I spent $8,000 and got $70,000 worth of flights. Once you experience value like this, you’ll never go back to economy again,” said Ms Phillips.
Platinum membership ($6,000+GST) includes up to four return business class reward seat bookings annually (using members’ points), equivalent to $40,000+ in retail value, as well as a tailored strategy, booking concierge and closed-group luxury deals.
“Our ambition is simple: that our members never fly economy again. We’re building a community of business leaders who understand that how you travel is as important as where you’re going,” said Steve Pirie-Nally.
