Morgan Meredith has been appointed General Manager of The Imperial Gold Coast as the property prepares for a major refurbishment and transition to Australia’s first LXR Hotels & Resorts hotel.
Ms Meredith brings more than 15 years of luxury hospitality experience across Australia and Asia and will oversee the hotel’s repositioning while it remains open to guests.

Most recently she was Hotel Manager at Keraton at The Plaza in Jakarta where she led the property through renovation, repositioning and reopening. Earlier in her career, she also held senior Front Office roles with Hilton Sydney.
“Returning to the Gold Coast to lead The Imperial into its next chapter is an incredible privilege,” Ms Meredith said.
“I look forward to working with Hilton, our owners and the hotel team to shape an experience that honours the property’s heritage while celebrating the essence of its remarkable location.”
Fiona Pryde, Hilton Cluster General Manager South East Queensland, said Ms Meredith’s experience with luxury hotel renovations and repositioning made her well placed to guide the project.
The Imperial Gold Coast, located on Southport Spit overlooking the Broadwater, will undergo a significant refurbishment ahead of joining LXR Hotels & Resorts, Hilton’s collection of independently styled luxury properties.
The hotel will remain fully operational throughout preparations and continues to accept reservations ahead of its 2027 transition.
