Raes is bringing its signature hospitality style to Byron Bay in New South Wales with the opening of The Bonobo by Raes in June.

Marty McCaig, Raes Group General Manager, said the hotel was designed as a social and flexible space for both visitors and locals.

“The Bonobo introduces a more social expression of Raes in the centre of Byron Bay. It’s been shaped as a hotel people can move through with ease, whether they’re staying, meeting friends for a drink, or dropping by for a wellness treatment,” Mr McCaig said.

The three-level modernist building comprises 33 rooms alongside one-, two- and three-bedroom residences suited to both short and extended stays.

All residences include a kitchen and laundry, with generous layouts and the option to connect adjoining rooms for larger groups and families.

Wellness brand Reset joins as the hotel’s exclusive wellness partner, bringing cedar saunas, ice baths, a eucalyptus steam room, magnesium bath and vitamin C-infused showers to Byron Bay, alongside a private treatment room for LED light therapy, facials and body treatments.

The space will be open to both hotel guests and the wider community.

Food and beverage will be curated by two-hatted executive chef Jason Saxby, anchored by a lobby lounge seating up to 50 guests for all-day dining and drinks.

A rooftop pool menu and in-room dining will offer elevated takes on hotel classics, available daily from 7am to midnight.
