Vietnam is one of Asia’s most compelling destinations for Aussies and a new itinerary from Adventure World makes it easier than ever to experience the country properly, from north to south and bowl to bowl.

‘A Taste of Vietnam’ is a 10-day journey through Hanoi, Hoi An and Ho Chi Minh City, priced from $1,869 per person twin share.

The itinerary is built around food as the primary lens through which Vietnam is experienced and each city delivers something completely different.

In Hanoi, a guided street food walking tour weaves through bustling laneways, introducing guests to fragrant pho, crispy nem ran, banh mi and the city’s beloved egg coffee. It is as much a window into everyday northern Vietnamese life as it is a meal.

In Hoi An, the focus shifts from eating to creating. After exploring a local market and selecting fresh produce, guests cruise along the Thu Bon River before joining a hands-on cooking class at the renowned Red Bridge Cooking School, where local chefs share traditional techniques passed down through generations.

The journey concludes in Ho Chi Minh City with an after-dark scooter adventure through hidden laneways, sampling banh xeo, fresh seafood and Vietnamese-style beef stew while getting an insider’s view of Saigon’s famously electric food scene.

The package includes centrally located accommodation, daily breakfast, private airport transfers and domestic flights between cities.

Free time is built into each stop and travel advisors can extend the journey with additions like a Halong Bay overnight cruise or a Mekong Delta immersion.

Available for travel from July 1 to October 31 with bookings required by September 30.
