Thirty new and updated itineraries are being introduced across the National Geographic Journeys with G Adventures portfolio, placing greater emphasis on local experts, communities and the people shaping each destination.

The expansion includes 24 new National Geographic Journeys with G Adventures and six updated National Geographic Family Journeys, with experiences built around encounters with historians, winemakers, conservationists, naturalists, local families and other specialists.

New itineraries span destinations including the Galápagos Islands, northern Thailand, Central Europe and France’s Loire Valley and Bordeaux regions.

Experiences range from time with scientists at the Charles Darwin Research Station to a Khantoke dinner with a local family in Thailand and private insights from winemakers and historians in France.

The updated family collection introduces two dedicated expedition leaders on each trip, with one focused on activities and learning for younger travellers and the other managing logistics and exploration.

New elements include Junior Explorers Night and Made Together Moments, where families collaborate on activities such as jewellery making or ceramics.

Among the family itineraries is a nine-day Peru journey combining the Amazon and Machu Picchu, with naturalist guided wildlife experiences, ceramic painting with the Cuyo Chico community and a visit to the Parwa community restaurant.

A 12-day Southeast Asia itinerary through Vietnam and Cambodia includes time with performers from Cambodia’s Phare Circus, noodle making with STREETS International instructors in Hanoi and traditional farming and cooking with a family in Tra Que Village.

The expanded collection continues the collaboration’s focus on small group travel and community based experiences, with the new itineraries designed to give travellers a stronger understanding of destinations through the people who live and work there.
