andBeyond Kichwa Tembo Tented Camp has emerged from a soft refurbishment with its classic safari romance fully intact.
The make-over has included refreshed interiors, modernised ensuite bathrooms, new canvas across the tents and more generous bed configurations throughout the 40-tent camp in the Mara Triangle.
Set on a private concession leased from Maasai landlords at the base of the Oloololo Escarpment, Kichwa Tembo sits squarely in the path of the Great Migration, with vast herds of wildebeest and zebra typically moving through from July to October, closely followed by cheetah and other predators.

A personal touch has been added to every tent with new tea and coffee stations for guests to enjoy quiet moments overlooking the plains.
The warm, family-style atmosphere that has always defined the camp has been carefully preserved throughout the update.

Twice-daily game drives, privately guided bush walks available exclusively on this private concession, hot air balloon safaris at dawn and bush dining under the African sky remain at the heart of the experience.
Resident lion prides, leopards, elephant, giraffe and buffalo move through the concession year-round, while back at camp guests settle into a relaxed pace around the rim-flow pool, interactive kitchen and Tusker Bar.
