The Monarto Safari Stay offers guests the chance to explore South Australia’s spectacular Monarto Safari Resort – located just an hour from Adelaide – either before or after their rail journey.

Set in the heart of the Murraylands and neighbouring the renowned Monarto Safari Park and its new Wild Africa precinct, the resort offers a luxury escape among African wildlife – no passport required.

Monarto Safari Park is the largest safari experience outside of Africa, spanning more than 1,500 hectares and home to more than 50 native and exotic species including giraffes, cheetahs, rhinos, zebras, hippos, ostriches and more.

Guests will enjoy two nights’ accommodation at the new resort with daily breakfast, a Sunset Safari experience complete with canapés and sundowner drinks, and general admission to explore the park with a guided hop-on-hop-off bus.

The resort also features a world-class spa, two pools, function spaces and – opening later this year – 20 luxury tents at the Safari Lodge.

Journey Beyond’s Alicia Triggs says the package offers travellers a “once-in-a-lifetime” opportunity to see some of the world’s most iconic endangered species up close. Bookings are now open, with the resort officially welcoming guests from May 28.
