A new river ship will join Europe’s waterways in May 2028, expanding the number of sailings available across the Rhine, Main and Danube.
Riverside Mahler will join Riverside Debussy on itineraries connecting the Rhine and Danube via the Main-Danube Canal.
The additional ship will lift departures through the canal to 12 in 2028, up from four in 2026 and two in 2027.
The 2028 program includes 10 Budapest–Regensburg sailings and 10 in the reverse direction, as well as two Dutch Waterways itineraries and three Lower Danube departures.
Voyages across the wider fleet will range from three to 23 nights, operating from early spring through December.

Riverside Debussy will begin the season with tulip sailings through the Netherlands and Belgium before introducing new nine- and 10-night Amsterdam–Basel itineraries incorporating the Moselle.
Riverside Mozart will continue on the Upper and Lower Danube, adding a new seven-night Vienna–Budapest itinerary and a new call at Győr in Hungary.
The 2028 program will also include expert-led themed sailings, including cycling, golf and Hungary National Day departures aboard Riverside Mozart.
Riverside Ravel will continue operating on the Rhône and Saône rivers in France, visiting destinations including Lyon, Avignon, Arles and Tain-l’Hermitage.
Jennifer Halboth, Riverside Luxury Cruises Americas CEO, said the additional ship would allow the line to increase departures on established routes while expanding options on the Lower Danube and Dutch Waterways.
Guests booking any 2028 sailing by June 30, 2027, will receive an 18% discount on the sailing price across all suite categories and package types.
