Organisers of Pacific Airshow Gold Coast are gearing up for record crowds this year, with a new partnership with Gold Coast Airport (GCA) and Webjet set to attract even more visitors to the city during the event.

The three-day airshow, that sold out last year with aviation fans and curious locals is returning to the Gold Coast for a second year, bringing a range of spectacular performers from across the globe.

GCA will again be the event’s host airport – acting as a base for performing aircrafts as they soar into the skies bound for Surfers Paradise.

Amelia Evans CEO of Queensland Airports Limited, owners and operators of GCA, said the airport was proud to partner with the Pacific Airshow for a second year.

“Major events like this shine a light on the Gold Coast as a destination, as well as drawing attention to the aviation industry as a whole and the variety of careers available,” Ms Evans said.

“As a child, I loved watching planes and know that during the airshow young aviation enthusiasts will be experiencing the same excitement, inspiring the next generation to take up a career in aviation,” she said.

Webjet will be offering flight discounts for airshow attendees coupled with a national marketing campaign set to attract visitors from across the country to the Gold Coast.

CEO of Webjet OTA, David Galt, comments “Webjet is thrilled to partner with Gold Coast Airport and the Pacific Airshow to bring the excitement of aviation to the community, by offering discounted flights to the Gold Coast. This partnership enables us to support Queensland’s premier events and celebrate the vibrant community spirit they foster. Webjet is excited to be part of an event that unites people for a weekend of awe-inspiring air displays and memorable fun.”

“This new GCA and Webjet partnership is a game-changer for the Pacific Airshow,” said Mark Galbraith, Partnerships Manager for the event.

“Webjet’s support through marketing and discounted flights for the airshow period highlights the event’s scale and significance. It’s fantastic to see these key partners so actively invested in the success of our event and the enjoyment of attendees.”

GCA’s famed Plane Spotters’ Competition will make a return as well, providing aviation enthusiasts an exclusive opportunity to get up close with some of the Pacific Airshow aircraft and performers.

“Community engagement is the core of what makes the Pacific Airshow such a standout event,” said Galbraith.

“With activities like the plane spotters comp, we’re set to ignite passion for aviation and bring the community together not just in Surfers Paradise but down south as well.”

The event runs from 16 -18 August with tickets to the performance zone on sale now, providing front row seats to three days of adrenaline fuelled aviation action.

“Pacific Airshow Gold Coast is not just about high-flying action; it’s a full-on experience,” Galbraith said.

More details on the flight promotions, aircraft line-up and competitions will be announced in coming weeks. To buy tickets to Pacific Airshow Gold Coast, visit pacificairshow.com
