Railbookers will launch its inaugural Luxury Rail Week on 15 September, highlighting some of the world’s most iconic train journeys.

The week-long initiative is designed to showcase the breadth of luxury rail itineraries available through the company’s global programme, which includes services in Europe, Asia, Africa and the Americas. Journeys featured range from the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express and Belmond Royal Scotsman to South Africa’s Rovos Rail and Canada’s Rocky Mountaineer.

Frank Marini, President & CEO of Railbookers Group, said demand for high-end train experiences has been growing, with travellers looking for “unforgettable experiences, personalised service, and complete peace of mind.”

As part of the launch, Railbookers is offering an additional $600 per couple in savings on select departures across a list of well-known trains, including the Maharajas’ Express, Glacier Express – Excellence Class, Eastern and Oriental Express, Golden Eagle Silk Road and VIA Rail’s Prestige Class.

Railbookers specialises in independent rail holidays, packaging trains with accommodation, transfers and sightseeing. The company says this flexibility allows travellers to book departures up to two years in advance and customise itineraries that may also include multi-country journeys or cruise extensions.

The group, which also operates under the Amtrak Vacations brand, has offices in several markets, including Australia, the UK and the US, and has been recognised in travel industry awards for its rail product.
