Cruise Lines International Association has concluded its biggest ever CLIA LIVE program on the Gold Coast this week, wrapping up eight two-day seminars held across Australia and New Zealand over March, April and May.
The Gold Coast event at QT Surfers Paradise followed stops in Christchurch, Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth, Adelaide, Sydney and Auckland, with around 40 cruise lines taking part and about 800 tickets booked across the full program.
Marita Nosic, CLIA Australasia Director of Membership and Events, said the program had shown again the passion Australian and New Zealand travel agents had for cruise knowledge.
“These events have become incredibly popular, and they help consultants better understand the distinct character and appeal of each cruise brand, from ultra-luxury and adventure to family-friendly, expedition and river cruising,” Ms Nosic said.

This year’s program carried the theme Find the Perfect Cruise Match: Discover the Personality Behind Every Brand, with sessions providing detailed updates on each cruise line’s latest initiatives alongside explanations of brand nuances and guest profiles.
Details of the 2027 CLIA LIVE program will be announced later this year.
