Luxury hotelier Rob Unson has been appointed General Manager of Sofitel Brisbane Central.

Mr Unson joins the property with a career spanning more than 30 years across luxury and premium hotel brands on four continents.

His journey in hospitality began at The Ritz-Carlton in New York, a foundation that shaped his commitment to service excellence.

Over the following three decades he built a distinguished senior leadership career across the U.S., Australia, the United Kingdom and Southeast Asia.

He has previously worked with Sofitel in both Australia and Vietnam and now returns to the brand.

“Sofitel represents the very best of French elegance combined with local culture and I look forward to working with this talented team to craft extraordinary experiences for every guest who walks through our doors,” said Mr Unson.

“Brisbane is a city on the rise and Sofitel Brisbane Central has an incredible opportunity to lead the way in luxury hospitality here.”

Rob’s appointment signals an exciting new chapter for Sofitel Brisbane Central as the property continues to build on its reputation as the destination of choice for discerning travellers visiting the river city.
