A safari lodge in Botswana’s Okavango Delta will reopen in August 2027 following an extensive redevelopment designed to create more space, privacy and stronger connections with the surrounding landscape.

Formerly &Beyond Xaranna Okavango Delta Camp, the property will return as &Beyond Xaranna Okavango Delta Lodge within a 90,500-hectare concession in the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Okavango Delta.

The redesigned lodge will feature nine suites measuring 160 square metres, each with indoor and outdoor living areas, a private pool, shaded sala, personal bar and two-way fireplace. A new 404-square-metre, two-bedroom family suite will cater to families and small groups.

Guest spaces will include indoor and outdoor dining areas, an interactive kitchen, traditional boma, library, wine bodega and elevated stargazing area overlooking the floodplains.

Wellness will also be expanded through a dedicated centre offering Healing Earth treatments, a hammam, Rasul therapy, rain and Vichy showers, hydrotherapy facilities and an outdoor hot tub.

A new fitness area will include Technogym equipment, a cold plunge pool and relaxation deck.

Families will be accommodated through the WILDchild program, with activities tailored to different age groups.

Children aged six to 11 can join shared game drives at the discretion of the Lodge Manager, while older guests can take part in boat cruises, walking safaris and seasonal mokoro excursions depending on age.

Safari activities will continue to include twice-daily game drives, guided walks, seasonal mokoro journeys and motorised boat cruises, with private safaris and scenic helicopter flights available at additional cost.

Jason King, &Beyond Managing Director Southern Africa Lodges, said the redevelopment would add a more immersive and holistic approach to the company’s Botswana portfolio.

Bookings for the new lodge are now open.
