Flights to Tasmania are on sale from just $48 one-way with Jetstar, with fares available from six major Australian cities on routes to both Hobart and Launceston.

Headline fares include Melbourne to Launceston from $48, Sydney to Launceston from $59, Newcastle to Hobart from $59, Melbourne to Hobart from $69 and Sydney to Hobart from $79. Adelaide to Hobart starts from $87, Brisbane to Launceston from $99 and Brisbane to Hobart from $117.

The sale applies to one-way flights on select dates between August 12 and March 17, 2027, excluding checked baggage and subject to availability.

The travel window covers an exceptional run of Tasmanian events. August brings the Beaker Street Festival, Australia’s most imaginative celebration of science and culture, alongside the Australian Antarctic Festival in Hobart.

Spring sees the Tasmanian Craft Fair in Deloraine from October 30 to November 1, the largest working craft fair in the Southern Hemisphere, and agriCULTURED in Launceston from November 5 to 8, celebrating Tasmania’s food scene through farm visits and shared meals.

The Bicheno Food and Wine Festival follows on November 21, held on the waterfront of the town recently named Australia’s Top Town for 2026.

Into 2027, the Australian Wooden Boat Festival returns to Hobart’s historic docks from February 5 to 8, with more than 400 vessels and Tasmania’s largest free event.

The season concludes with A Taste of the Huon at Ranelagh on March 7 and 8, celebrating the Huon Valley’s growers, winemakers, cider makers and artisans.
