AAT Kings has launched its 2027/28 Australasia program, adding new Small Group itineraries, shorter touring options and additional experiences designed to connect travellers with regional communities and local stories.
Headlining the new season is the nine-day ‘Outback New South Wales Adventurer’, a Small Group journey averaging 16 guests.
The itinerary includes White Cliffs, Broken Hill, Silverton, The Living Desert Sculptures and World Heritage listed Mungo National Park, where guests explore more than 40,000 years of First Nations history with a local guide.

The Small Group range is also expanding in New Zealand with two new itineraries, ‘South Island Splendour’ and ‘South Island Highlights’.
Experiences include meeting farming families at Real Country and an overnight Milford Mariner cruise in Piopiotahi Milford Sound.
AAT Kings has also added the Oamaru Penguin Conservation Centre to its MAKE TRAVEL MATTER Experiences, providing guests with an introduction to conservation work supporting New Zealand’s little blue penguins.

Ben Hall, AAT Kings Group CEO, said the new program reflected changing expectations around guided holidays.
“Travellers are increasingly looking for holidays that go beyond ticking off the icons. They want to connect with local people, uncover stories they didn’t know and experience the places they visit through the communities, cultures and landscapes that make them unique,” he added.
The 2027/28 season also introduces new Short Break itineraries, designed to work either as standalone trips or alongside longer holidays.
Travel advisors will receive additional support through refreshed product and campaign resources on the A-LISTERS trade hub.
Launched this month, a new A-LISTERS podcast covers current guided touring trends and the expanded 2027/28 range.
To mark the launch, Australian travellers can save up to $2,200 per couple on selected departures booked by September 30 for travel between April 1, 2027, and March 31, 2028. Conditions and selected departure dates apply.
