Ten dedicated nurses and healthcare workers have received a well-deserved spa experience from Carnival Cruise Line.

The staff from Queensland Children’s Hospital were welcomed aboard Carnival Luminosa as a thank you from Carnival, a longtime partner of the Children’s Hospital Foundation (CHF).

The special guests were hosted at the Cloud9 Spa onboard Luminosa – one of the largest spas in the global fleet.

The experience included access to the hydrotherapy pool and thermal suites, followed by massage treatments and a relaxing lunch.

As a supporter of the CHF in Queensland since 2019, Carnival has donated more than $132,000.

The funds help provide vital support and care for sick children across Queensland, including access to specialist equipment, research and wrap-around family services.

“Carnival is proud to support the incredible work of the Children’s Hospital Foundation and the healthcare heroes who make a difference every day,” said Anton Loeb, Assistant Vice President Sales & Marketing, Carnival Cruise Line Australia.

“Through activities like our Conga for Kids initiative, our guests have helped raise funds that go directly towards improving the lives of children and families that need it most. Today’s ship spa day was a small way to say thank you to those who give so much.”

Carnival has hosted Conga for Kids events onboard Carnival Luminosa since the ship began sailing from Queensland in November 2022 and onboard Carnival Encounter since joining the fleet in March 2025.
