Tourism New Zealand has refreshed its 100% Pure New Zealand Specialist Programme to educate travel sellers on New Zealand as a year-round destination.

The refreshed programme has been designed specifically for travel sellers and is delivered in bite-size (3-7 minute long) modules, making it even easier for travel sellers to complete the programme, no matter the device. The courses cover essential information about Aotearoa New Zealand’s off-peak seasons, including the best ways of getting around, suggested itineraries, latest trends, and products.

The programme aligns with Tourism New Zealand’s four-year strategy focused on growing year-round and offpeak arrivals (March – November).

“Australian travel sellers play a significant role in bringing Australian travellers to Aotearoa New Zealand. They are a trusted booking channel, and we know the added value they bring to their client’s booking – from saving time, tailoring to specific needs or helping their clients discover hidden gems.

“The refreshed specialist programme will provide travel sellers with expert knowledge, so they can continue to add value for their clients in the New Zealand itineraries they build,” says Andrew Waddel, General Manager – Australia for Tourism New Zealand

The 100% Pure New Zealand Specialist Programme structure has been streamlined from the previous three tiers (Bronze, Silver, and Gold) to two compelling tiers: Graduate Specialist and Advanced Specialist.

A core new feature of the foundation courses is the option for expert learners to complete a knowledge test before engaging with the micro-learning modules. Achieving 100% on the first attempt allows learners to bypass the modules and pass the course. If not, they must complete the modules and attempt the final test.

By completing these courses, travel sellers can gain access to Tourism New Zealand’s Explore Self-Famil Discount Programme, unlocking over 400 exclusive discounts across 25 regions. Through this programme travel sellers can experience the best of New Zealand off-peak for themselves, from March – November each year.
