Travel agents will have the chance to earn a place on a Canada famil through a new virtual summit focused on responsible tourism, destination knowledge and stronger client conversations.
The Together for Impact Virtual Summit 2026 will be held on November 5 at 10am (AEST), hosted by Destination Canada Australia’s Strategic Advisory Group with support from Destination Canada Australia.
The 90-minute live event will bring together Australian travel professionals, Canadian tourism voices and industry leaders to explore how a regenerative approach to travel can translate into new product ideas, higher value bookings and more opportunities to sell Canada.
Tim Holden, Flight Centre Global Partnerships Leader and summit MC, said the sessions would help advisors learn more about Canadian regions and experiences while developing ways to sell the destination responsibly.
“The summit will provide an opportunity to explore how a regenerative approach to travel can translate into stronger client conversations, new product ideas, higher-value bookings and more opportunities to sell Canada,” Mr Holden said.

Sessions will cover Indigenous tourism experiences, regional journeys, winter travel and shoulder season opportunities, with a focus on how tourism can support communities while creating stronger outcomes for travellers and the Australian trade.
Live attendees will be eligible for the chance to secure a place on a Canadian famil in 2027.
Participants will also receive access to an on-demand content library, practical planning resources and destination stories that can be used in future client conversations.
Julie King, Destination Canada Australia Managing Director, said the event was designed to show how tourism could contribute to the wellbeing and economic strength of Canadian communities.
