A plane has been forced to make an emergency landing after it caught fire shortly after take-off.
Footage shows the moment the left engine on the Delta Air Lines Boeing 767-400 bursts into flames. The incident happened on Friday at Los Angeles International Airport.
Delta flight 446, which was on route to Atlanta, returned to the airport and made a safe landing. There were no reports of any casualties.
The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating the incident.
“As nothing is more important than the safety of our customers and crew, the flight crew followed procedures and safely returned to the gate,” a Delta spokesperson said in a statement.
“We apologise to our customers for the delay in their travel plans.”
