A nine-day Western Front tour led by military historian Mat McLachlan will return in June 2027, marking the only land itinerary he will personally escort during the year.
Departing Paris on June 12, the tour will visit key First World War sites across France and Belgium, with three nights in Amiens and three nights in Ypres.
Highlights include Château de Bertangles, where Sir John Monash established his headquarters during the war and was later knighted, and an exclusive dinner at Talbot House in Poperinge, founded during the First World War as a place of rest for servicemen.
The itinerary also includes time in Ypres, where guests can attend the nightly Last Post ceremony at the Menin Gate Memorial to the Missing.
“I’ve just completed my 2026 Western Front Signature Tour, and it was an incredible journey,” Mr McLachlan said. “This is a tour built on the places, stories and personal connections that have shaped my own understanding of the Western Front, and I can’t wait to share them with a new group in 2027.”
The program begins with a welcome dinner in Paris and concludes with a farewell dinner cruise on the Seine.
A separate Mat McLachlan Signature Cruise is also scheduled for September 2027 aboard AmaWaterways, sailing through the Netherlands and Belgium with visits connected to Waterloo, the Ypres Salient and Operation Market Garden.
