A new entertainment program will debut aboard Norwegian Aura in May 2027, led by an original production celebrating the music and legacy of Whitney Houston.
The headline show, Whitney: A Celebration of Whitney Houston, has been developed with The Estate of Whitney E. Houston and Primary Wave Music.
The 45-minute production will feature live vocals, a live band and visual effects, with songs including I Will Always Love You, It’s Not Right, But It’s OK and I Wanna Dance with Somebody.
The show will be staged in the three level Aura Theatre & Club, with performances extending beyond the main stage as part of an immersive concert format.
Bryan White, Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Vice President of Entertainment Production, said the new program would build on the company’s recent music focused productions.
“Following the success of our Prince and Elton John productions on Norwegian Aqua and Norwegian Luna, respectively, this new show reimagines Whitney’s legendary catalogue through contemporary arrangements, dynamic storytelling, stunning visuals and powerful live performances,” Mr White said.
The entertainment line up will also include ILLUMINOX: Infinite Wonder Unboxed, a new production combining large scale illusions, acrobatics, original music and visual effects.

Live music collective The Vinyl Republic will perform across several venues, covering rock, country, funk, blues and pop.
Signature shows will include a Journey themed rock performance and a late night country event with line dancing.
Adults-only nightlife experience LunaTique: Pop Circus will also return with new acts and music, while other programming will include the opening night showcase Aura FIRST NIGHT and poolside event Latin LIVE!.
Norwegian Aura will debut on May 21, 2027, with a seven-day Mediterranean sailing from Trieste to Barcelona before crossing the Atlantic.
From June through October 2027, the ship will operate seven-day Eastern Caribbean voyages from Miami, followed by Western Caribbean sailings during the 2027/28 winter season.
