AmaWaterways will launch its first women only river cruise in 2027, responding to demand from travellers and travel advisors for hosted departures designed specifically for women travelling together or independently.
The seven night Colours of Provence Wine Cruise will depart on August 19, 2027, sailing through southern France aboard AmaKristina. Optional three night stays in Barcelona and Paris can be added before or after the cruise.

The departure will feature experiences developed specifically for the sailing, including curated wine tastings, a Pink French Martini demonstration, Lavender Gin tasting, Whispering Angel Rosé Sundeck Party and Miraval Champagne breakfast.
McLaren Vale winemaker Emmanuelle Bekkers of Bekkers Wine will host the cruise.

Steve Richards, AmaWaterways Managing Director Australia and New Zealand, said the concept emerged from feedback from travel advisors.
“This is one of those ideas that has come directly from our travel advisor community,” Mr Richards said.
“They’ve been telling us they’re seeing more women wanting to travel together, whether that’s lifelong friends, sisters, mothers and daughters, or solo travellers looking to meet new people in a relaxed, welcoming environment.”
The cruise is open to women and those identifying as women, with a limited number of dedicated solo occupancy staterooms available.
Standard AmaWaterways inclusions will remain in place, including accommodation, dining, daily guided shore excursions, wellness activities, selected wines with lunch and dinner and gratuities.
Reservations are now open through travel advisors and AmaWaterways.
