Following its successful Australian debut last December, multi-currency travel wallet YouTrip is expanding its “workforce”.

The fintech company is offering 10 people the chance to become a YouTrip Travel Intern. These unofficial hires will each receive a $10,000 flight fund to use across multiple international trips over the next 12 months.

“Australians love travelling, but they’re also incredibly savvy about how they do it: finding smarter routes, hunting down better deals and ways to stretch their travel budgets further,” said Kelvin Lam, Chief Operating Officer at YouTrip.

“The Travel Intern search is about celebrating that travel talent. We’re looking for people who know how to get the most out of every trip, whether that’s discovering hidden destinations, planning the ultimate itinerary or making their travel budget go further.”

How to Land the Dream ‘Job’

The search for 10 Travel Interns will run from March 18 to April 20 and is open to Australians of all ages. Five winners will be selected through a random prize draw, open to anyone who signs up for a YouTrip account by April 20.

The remaining five winners will be chosen through a social media giveaway, where participants can enter by signing up for YouTrip and commenting on the campaign post about their unique travel talent.

For a bonus entry, participants can also share an Instagram Story or post explaining their travel talent through creativity or post a favourite travel throwback.

YouTrip is seeing a shift towards more strategic travel behaviours, from managing FX and avoiding hidden fees, to building more efficient itineraries and maximising value across multi-trip travel.

The campaign is designed to tap into and reward the emerging “smarter traveller” mindset, while positioning travel fintech as playing a more prominent role in how Australians manage their spend abroad.
