G Adventures has marked the first official ‘Jane Goodall Day’ by renewing its partnership with the Jane Goodall Institute of Canada for a further 10 years.

The move reaffirms the company’s commitment to conservation, community-led initiatives and wildlife protection around the world.

April 3 marked what would have been Dr. Goodall’s 92nd birthday, now officially recognised as Jane Goodall Day. The renewed partnership was personally endorsed by Dr. Goodall before her passing.

Bruce Poon Tip, Founder of G Adventures, said the commitment was an extremely personal one.

“Jane was a huge inspiration to me personally, a great friend and a Global Ambassador for G Adventures. Our new 10-year commitment to the Jane Goodall Institute of Canada is one very close to my heart and I’m proud to continue supporting the great work that Jane dedicated her life to,” Mr Poon Tip said.

Bella Lam, Jane Goodall Institute of Canada CEO, said the partnership was having great effect.

“Together, we are making a positive and lasting difference for animals, people and the environment as we continue to carry Dr. Jane’s legacy forward,” Ms Lam said.”

As part of the partnership, the Jane Goodall Collection of trips with G Adventures continues to offer 19 itineraries across 16 destinations, including Borneo, the Galapagos Islands, Uganda, Botswana, Costa Rica and Antarctica.

Each itinerary carries a legacy endorsement from Dr. Goodall and a portion of every booking supports the Jane Goodall Institute of Canada.
