Club Med’s expansion continues with plans unveiled for a new resort in Thailand, marking a significant step in the brand’s premium growth strategy across Asia-Pacific.

Set to open in 2028, the 303-room Club Med Exclusive Collection Koh Samui will introduce a more elevated, refined take on the company’s all-inclusive offering.

The resort will join the brand’s Exclusive Collection portfolio and complement Club Med Phuket as its second property in Thailand.

The announcement comes amid strong demand for Thailand, with Club Med reporting a 41% increase in forward sales for 2026 at Phuket, reinforcing the destination’s continued momentum among travellers.

The Koh Samui resort will feature a private beachfront location, enhanced accommodation and premium inclusions, while maintaining the brand’s signature all-inclusive, sociable atmosphere.

Situated on the northern coast of Koh Samui, the resort will feature a private beach that spans more than 200 metres, offering guests a variety of vibrant sports and lively beachfront activities.

“Thailand remains an in-demand destination for travellers, ranking among the top 10 international destinations for Australians over the past year,” said Michelle Davies, General Manager for Club Med Pacific and New ESAP Markets.

“With interest from travellers expected to continue, the opening of Club Med Exclusive Collection Koh Samui marks a natural next chapter for us, reinforcing our commitment to delivering upscale, all-inclusive experiences in some of the world’s most sought-after and breathtaking destinations worldwide.”

Located just a 25-minute drive from Koh Samui International Airport, Club Med Exclusive Collection Koh Samui will offer a vibrant beachfront retreat celebrating the Thai island lifestyle.

This new resort joins Club Med’s global network of more than 70 Premium and Exclusive Collection resorts across 25 destinations worldwide.

Club Med’s Exclusive Collection portfolio now makes up 13% of its global capacity, boasting 21 properties, including six Exclusive Collection resorts, nine Exclusive Collection Spaces, five Villas and Chalets, and the Club Med 2 luxury sailing yacht.

“As we continue to expand our global footprint, this year marks a standout moment for Club Med, with two major resort openings – Club Med South Africa Beach & Safari in July and Club Med Borneo, Malaysia in November,” added Ms Davies.

“This strong momentum reflects the continued growth and strength of the brand, as we bring our signature all-inclusive experiences to even more extraordinary destinations around the world.

“We look forward to welcoming guests to Club Med Exclusive Collection Koh Samui from 2028 as part of this exciting next chapter.”
