Seabourn has opened its 2028/29 expedition season for sale, marking the line’s 40th anniversary with its most ambitious polar program yet.

Sailings include a second ‘Grand Expedition: Pole to Pole’ and expanded Arctic sailings across both expedition ships.

Mark Tamis, Seabourn President, said the season was designed for travellers who want to explore the world’s most remote places in a deeper and more meaningful way.

“From the return of our Grand Expedition: Pole to Pole to a broader Arctic program that reaches places like Svalbard and the Canadian High Arctic, these voyages reflect our commitment to pairing purposeful exploration with the service and luxury experience our guests expect from Seabourn,” Mr Tamis said.

The centrepiece of the season is the 96-day ‘Grand Expedition: Pole to Pole’, departing August 17, 2028, sailing from Reykjavik to Ushuaia across more than 20,500 nautical miles and 147 degrees of latitude.

The voyage visits 14 countries and territories, including five days in Antarctica, three days in South Georgia and a call to Port Stanley in the Falkland Islands. A shorter 82-day option is also available for guests joining the voyage later.

Across the full 2028/29 season, Seabourn Venture and Seabourn Pursuit will offer 49 departures ranging from eight to 96 days, visiting more than 180 destinations across 29 countries.

New Arctic itineraries include an 18-day ‘Sagas and Sea Cliffs: Greenland to Newfoundland’ voyage, a 15-day ‘Greenland, Torngat Mountains and Labrador Coast’ sailing, and a return to Svalbard on a 16-day ‘Iceland, Norway and Svalbard’ expedition.

In Antarctica, new offerings include a 23-day ‘Juan Fernández Islands, Chilean Fjords and Antarctica’ itinerary, expanded South Georgia programming and more glacier-focused expedition days in the Chilean Fjords.
