MSC Cruises has launched the first of a new series of longer European combination voyages developed for Australasian travellers, linking consecutive itineraries into a single cruise holiday.
The first 14-night combination will operate roundtrip from Southampton aboard MSC Meraviglia, allowing guests to remain on the same ship while visiting contrasting regions of Europe.
The itinerary combines ports along the Atlantic coasts of France, Spain and Portugal with either Norway and its fjords or Scandinavian cities.
Katrina McAlpine, MSC Group Cruise Division Managing Director Australia and New Zealand, said demand for back to back cruising was helping shape the new program.
“We’re increasingly seeing our guests and travel partners look at back-to-back cruises as a way of creating a bigger European holiday and with the scale of MSC Cruises in Europe, we have an incredible opportunity to make that much easier,” Ms McAlpine said.
The cruise line currently has 14 ships operating across Europe, including eight sailing in the region year round, giving it scope to develop further combinations covering the Mediterranean, Adriatic, Greek Islands, Canary Islands, Baltic and Norwegian fjords.
Four departures of the new combination are available in 2027, leaving on May 29, June 12, July 10 and September 4. Further European combinations are expected to be announced.
Under the Best Holiday Ever promotion, fares for the featured Grand Voyages start from $3,519 per person in an inside cabin or $4,919 per person in a balcony cabin.
