Norwegian Cruise Line has revealed new wellness, dining and family attractions aboard Norwegian Aura ahead of its May 2027 debut.
The Prima Plus Class vessel will be the line’s largest ship to date and will feature a two deck Mandara Spa with a Thermal Suite offering 15 wellness experiences, including 11 new concepts.
Among them will be what NCL says is the first sensory rain pool at sea, combining changing water conditions with simulated rainfall, lightning and thunder.
Other additions include a snow cave, blue glow suite, waterfall experience, reflection pool and guided hot and cold plunges.
The spa will also include 24 treatment rooms, a salon, skin lab, fitness centre and dedicated relaxation spaces including salt, steam and sauna facilities.
Dining will span 22 venues across more than 10 cuisines. New to the fleet will be Tamara, NCL’s first specialty Indian restaurant, serving regional dishes including short-rib dosa and lamb biryani.
Also debuting is The Panorama Room, a complimentary restaurant using LED displays, synchronised lighting and audio to create changing visual environments during meals.
Ben Angell, NCL APAC Managing Director, said the new concepts were shaped around providing guests with greater choice across the ship.
“From Tamara, our new Indian specialty restaurant, to The Panorama Room’s immersive dining experience and our most expansive Thermal Suite to date, every addition has been purposefully designed to give guests more freedom, choice and opportunities to relax, recharge and enjoy their vacation their way,” Mr Angell added.
Family facilities will include Ocean Heights, featuring six slides, a 25-metre ropes course, obstacle course, mini golf, carnival style games and overhanging cabanas.
Norwegian Aura will debut on May 21, 2027, with a seven-day Mediterranean voyage from Trieste to Barcelona before sailing a 13-day transatlantic voyage to Miami. The ship will then operate Caribbean itineraries during 2027 and 2028.
