A group of MTA travel agents has returned from a nine-day educational journey through Athens, Santorini, Crete and Mykonos, hosted by Halina Kubica, Managing Director of Greece and Mediterranean Travel Centre.

The itinerary combined cultural touring, beachfront luxury, fine dining and authentic regional experiences across some of Greece’s most iconic destinations. So memorable were the dining experiences throughout the journey that several agents affectionately referred to the educational as a food and wine tour.

In Athens, the group dined at Estiatorio Milos, the internationally renowned restaurant founded by Costas Spiliadis, offering insight into the sophistication of Greece’s evolving culinary scene. In Santorini, the group stayed at Canaves Suites in private pool suites with sweeping views, enjoying standout dining across the Canaves Collection properties where traditional Greek ingredients were presented through a modern and creative approach.

In Crete, the boutique luxury property Phaea Blue showcased the island’s renowned warmth, personalised hospitality and strong connection to local food traditions. The educational concluded in Mykonos at the beachfront Mykonos Grand Hotel, where agents experienced the island’s luxury accommodation, wellness offering and highly personalised service.

Beyond the destinations themselves, the trip was designed to highlight the value of working with an experienced specialist wholesaler when planning complex international itineraries. By experiencing each destination alongside GMTC, agents gained first-hand insight into the local knowledge, supplier relationships and on-ground expertise that create seamless travel experiences for clients.
