Accor has opened bookings for the new-look Novotel St Kilda in Melbourne, with the former Saint Kilda Beach Hotel undergoing a landmark transformation ahead of its reopening this October.
The redevelopment will see 80 redesigned guest rooms debut, featuring a contemporary coastal palette designed to support restorative sleep and everyday balance.
The hotel will also feature a new conference and events facility for up to 140 guests, a flexible co-working space and a reimagined internal garden atrium introducing natural light throughout the property.
A new dining destination, Urban Kitchen and Bar St Kilda, is currently in development and will seat up to 120 guests with several private dining spaces suited to celebrations and corporate events.
Rebecca Trenorden of VERSA, who is leading the design vision, said the redevelopment aimed to capture the spirit of the neighbourhood.
“The design celebrates the eclectic character of Fitzroy Street, where cosmopolitan culture meets the coast. This adaptive reuse project revitalises the ground floor with a series of spaces designed to engage locals and guests alike, from everyday moments through to special celebrations,” Ms Trenorden said.

“The transformation of this landmark property into Novotel St Kilda reflects the continued strength of Accor’s network across the Pacific and our confidence in the Melbourne market,” said Adrian Williams, Accor Chief Operating Officer Pacific.
As part of the redevelopment, owner ERDI has redistributed furniture and fittings from the existing hotel to Sacred Heart Mission and committed financial support to local charities including The Mirabel Foundation and St Kilda Mums.
The hotel has an opening offer from $299 per night.
