Malaysia Airlines and Singapore Airlines have launched joint fare products for travel between Singapore and Kuala Lumpur.

This marks the formal rollout of their strategic joint business partnership formalised in January following regulatory approval.

Bryan Foong, Malaysia Aviation Group Chief Executive Officer of Airline Business, said the partnership gave customers greater choice and a more seamless travel experience.

“By introducing joint fare products, we are giving our customers greater choice, improved flexibility and a more seamless travel experience. This collaboration also lays the foundation for deeper integration across our networks, ultimately benefiting both leisure and business travellers,” Mr Foong said.

Lee Lik Hsin, Singapore Airlines Chief Commercial Officer, said the partnership expanded fare options while strengthening connections between the two countries.

“As we deepen our collaboration, we will continue to combine our strengths to enhance both airlines’ offerings and deliver greater value to customers, while strengthening the long-standing people-to-people connections and trade links between Singapore and Malaysia,” Mr Lee said.

The two airlines are also working towards reciprocal lounge access, coordinated flight schedules and joint corporate travel arrangements.

Both carriers already codeshare on services across Malaysia, Singapore, Europe and South Africa, and introduced reciprocal accrual and redemption between the Enrich and KrisFlyer frequent flyer programmes in February 2024.
