Australia has been ranked among the top five markets for Singapore tourism in 2026.
Singapore’s tourism receipts totalled $S8.6 billion in Q1 2026, a 6% year-on-year (YoY) increase from $S8.1 billion in Q1 2025.
International Visitor Arrivals (IVA) for the same period stood at 4.4 million, a 3% YoY increase from Q1 2025.
The top five markets generating the highest tourism receipts in Q1 2026 were:
- Mainland China: $S1.35 billion (+3% compared to Q1 2025)
- Indonesia: $S720 million (-0.5%)
- Australia: $S533 million (+1%)
- United States of America: $S466 million (-3%)
- India: $S374 million (+8%)
“Singapore’s tourism performance in 1H 2026 reflects the continued appeal of Singapore as a destination and the strength of our sector, with positive TR growth in Q1 2026,” said Melissa Ow, Chief Executive, Singapore Tourism Board (STB).
“We remain clear-eyed about the challenges ahead. As visitor arrivals from some source markets soften and global uncertainty persists, we are working closely with our partners to drive visitor demand.”
To support demand generation, more than 25 trade partnerships have been rolled out in markets including Australia, Mainland China, Malaysia, South Korea and the United Kingdom.
STB will continue working with in-market trade partners to drive demand over the next six months.
The tourism board reported that outbound travel from Australia remains steady amid cost-of-living pressures.
However, increasing destination competition, particularly with Middle Eastern carriers resuming routes to Australia, presents some headwinds, with affordability becoming an even more important factor in travel decisions.
Singapore’s IVA performance in 1H 2026 was supported by a strong slate of leisure products and experiences, including the arrival of Disney Cruise Line’s Disney Adventure and the opening Rainforest Wild Adventure East at Mandai Wildlife Reserve.
A robust calendar of leisure events since the start of the year has further enhanced Singapore’s appeal as a premier destination, including Botero in Singapore exhibition, Cirque du Soleil’s KOOZA, Elite Pickleball International Championship (EPIC) and Children’s Festival.
