Singapore Airlines (SIA) will deliver more capacity and more choice with 12 weekly flights offering more than 1,300 additional seats into and out of South Australia.
SIA currently operates 10 weekly flights between the South Australian capital and Singapore and this will increase to 12 weekly flights from October 25. It is the first time an international airline has flown 12 flights a week year-round out of Adelaide.
These additional services will provide a further 1,328 seats each week into and out of Adelaide, to support strong international travel demand, offering greater choice and capacity to the rest of the world through Singapore Changi Airport.
“Singapore Airlines has been an incredible supporter of the Adelaide market for more than four decades and was a ground breaker in providing South Australians with one-stop connections to Europe and the UK,” said Brenton Cox, Adelaide Airport Managing Director.
“Now they offer more options than ever before to fly to Singapore and connect with their significant global network.
“It’s also significant for our local exporters who rely on Singapore Airlines’ regular services to reach key markets.”
Singapore is currently South Australia’s seventh largest market in terms of visitor expenditure and growing numbers of holiday making visitors.
