A new 76 guest river ship will begin sailing the Nile in November, joining a wider expansion of Egypt cruise capacity as demand for the destination continues to grow.
AmaNubia will accommodate guests in 38 staterooms, including 15 suites. The ship will feature interiors influenced by Egyptian and Nubian design, alongside locally inspired dining, spa services, a fitness centre and shared spaces for relaxing between shore visits.
Each sailing will be accompanied by Egyptologists, who will provide lectures and guided visits throughout the journey. The ship will operate the Secrets of Egypt & the Nile itinerary, combining a Nile cruise with hotel stays in Cairo.
Included visits cover the Pyramids of Giza, the Great Sphinx, Grand Egyptian Museum, Luxor Temple, Karnak Temple, Valley of the Kings, Edfu, Kom Ombo and Aswan. Guests will also receive private access to Abdeen Palace in Cairo.
Passengers sailing aboard AmaNubia will stay at Four Seasons Hotel Cairo at The First Residence. Guests on AmaLilia use The St. Regis Cairo, while the reimagined AmaDahlia, returning in September, will be paired with The Ritz-Carlton, Cairo.
Optional additions include Abu Simbel, high tea at the Sofitel Legend Old Cataract Hotel and land extensions in Alexandria, Jordan and Dubai.
Catherine Powell, AmaWaterways CEO, said interest from travellers and travel advisors had supported further investment in the destination.
“Egypt continues to be one of the most exciting destinations in our portfolio, and the response from both our guests and the travel advisors who have experienced our Nile cruises this year has been extraordinary,” Ms Powell said.
AmaNubia will join AmaLilia and AmaDahlia in the Nile fleet, with AmaCleo scheduled to enter service during the second half of 2027.
