Passengers travelling to Dubai now have greater flexibility to change or cancel bookings, with new measures covering date changes, reduced refund fees, travel insurance and loyalty benefits.
From August 10, customers travelling to Dubai can make unlimited date changes without a change fee across a wider range of Economy and Business Class fares. Any fare difference will still apply.
The policy covers Economy Saver through to Flex fares, along with Business Class Special, Saver and Flex fares. Economy Flex Plus, Premium Economy, Business Flex Plus and First Class remain fully flexible.
Emirates has also reduced refund fees on eligible Dubai flights. Economy Saver fares and Business Special and Saver fares now attract a US$50 refund fee, while Economy and Business Flex fares are charged US$25. No show fees remain unchanged.
Across the wider Emirates network, customers travelling on tickets booked from April 2 receive one free date change, including journeys connecting through Dubai. Travellers can also hold a fare for 24 hours at no charge while finalising plans.
The airline is also promoting its Comprehensive Travel Cover, available across 27 countries. The product includes trip cancellation, baggage delay and loss, emergency evacuation and worldwide medical expenses, along with conflict related medical cover of up to US$25,000 and a trip extension of up to 30 days.
Emirates said customers affected by flight disruptions may be provided with accommodation, while passengers whose onward connections are impacted can be rebooked to their destination without additional cost where alternatives are available.
Skywards members also have access to temporary loyalty incentives until August 31, including 20% fewer Tier Miles required to reach Silver, Gold and Platinum status and a 20% Tier Miles bonus on Emirates and flydubai flights.
A promotional Cash+Miles rate is also available, with 2,000 Miles valued at US$30 rather than the usual US$15 when applied to eligible flights, excess baggage, lounge access and seat selection.
