Helloworld is backing both ends of the travel industry’s biggest weekend by sponsoring the Beyond Borders Travel Summit and the National Travel Industry Awards (NTIA).

At Beyond Borders on October 9 at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, Helloworld will be Major Sponsor of a program built to challenge how the sector thinks about its customers, its economics and its future.

The Summit brings the trade together for a full day of debate on the issues shaping the industry, from distribution and payments through to policy and the value of professional travel advice.

On October 10 at the Palladium at Crown Melbourne, the travel network is the Gold Sponsor of the entertainment at the NTIA, the awards that recognise the individuals and businesses setting the standard across Australian travel.

“Helloworld Travel is delighted to support an event that inspires fresh thinking, encourages meaningful discussion and showcases the vital contribution our industry makes to people, communities and economies,” said Cinzia Burnes, Helloworld Travel Chief Operating Officer and Executive Director, regarding their Beyond Borders sponsorship.

The 2026 NTIA span 36 categories covering travel advisors, agencies, travel management companies, tour operators, wholesalers, airlines and cruise lines.

The voted business categories alone drew more than 21,000 votes from more than 2,200 voters, a record for the awards.

“The NTIAs provide an opportunity to recognise the outstanding achievements of individuals and businesses across our sector and we are particularly pleased that many of our brands and associated retail and wholesale networks are among this year’s finalists,” added Ms Burnes.

“Both events provide an important platform to highlight the talent, innovation and professionalism that define the Australian travel industry.

“We look forward to seeing our industry at its very best when it comes together in Melbourne this October.”

“Helloworld is putting its name to the thinking on Friday and the recognition on Saturday,” said Dean Long, ATIA CEO.

“We greatly appreciate Helloworld Travel’s partnership with ATIA and their investment in the Australian travel industry.

“Their partnership demonstrates to our members the value they place on the trade, and their commitment to supporting the industry. We know the industry gets behind our partners in recognition of that support.”
