Three Australian special guests will bring their expertise in food, marine science and sport to sailings across Western Australia, the South Pacific and Antarctica.
PONANT EXPLORATIONS has confirmed chef and television presenter Alastair McLeod, coral biologist Dr Emma Camp and former Australian Test wicketkeeper Ian Healy AO as part of its upcoming enrichment program.
Mr McLeod will join the 11-day ‘Australia’s West Coast Odyssey’ aboard Le Soléal, sailing from Broome to Fremantle from July 29, 2027.
Known for more than 200 appearances on Ready Steady Cook and his long running role on Weekender, Mr McLeod will bring a culinary focus to the Western Australian voyage. He previously joined Le Boréal in Antarctica in 2024 for an onboard cooking demonstration.
Dr Camp will sail aboard Le Paul Gauguin on the 12-day ‘Cook Islands & Society Islands’ voyage departing Papeete on November 6, 2027.

A coral biologist and team leader of the Future Reefs Program at the University of Technology Sydney, Dr Camp’s research examines how coral reefs respond to extreme marine conditions.
During the voyage, she will share insights drawn from her work across Pacific reef systems and marine conservation projects.
Former Australian cricketer and broadcaster Ian Healy AO will join the ‘Emblematic Antarctica’ expedition aboard Le Lyrial, sailing roundtrip from Ushuaia from January 3, 2028.
Mr Healy represented Australia in 119 Test matches and 168 one day internationals before moving into broadcasting. His onboard program will include presentations and informal conversations covering his sporting career, leadership, teamwork and resilience.
The three voyages form part of PONANT EXPLORATIONS’ broader enrichment program, which brings specialists and public figures onboard to complement destination experiences with talks, discussions and other guest sessions.
