Australian travellers will have more flight options to Hong Kong over the summer and winter peak period, with additional daily services scheduled from Sydney and Melbourne.
Hong Kong Airlines will increase its Sydney frequency to daily services from December 1, with flight HX017 departing Hong Kong at 10.25pm and arriving in Sydney at 11.05am the following day.
The return HX018 service departs Sydney at 12.35pm and arrives in Hong Kong at 7.35pm.
Melbourne will also move to daily services from December 20. Flight HX035 departs Hong Kong at 10.35pm and arrives in Melbourne at 11.30am the following day, while HX036 leaves Melbourne at 1pm and arrives in Hong Kong at 7.40pm.
The published schedule lists daily Melbourne services from December 20 to January 20 and again from February 21 to March 27, with corresponding return services operating through January 21 and from February 22 to March 28.
Sydney services are listed in the flight schedule through March 27, with return flights continuing until March 28.
The additional capacity is aimed at meeting increased seasonal demand between Australia and Hong Kong, while providing travellers and travel advisors with greater flexibility across both routes.
Flights are now open for booking through reservation and GDS systems, with schedules subject to change.
