Travel advisors have returned from a luxury immersion through Vietnam with a stronger understanding of how local expertise and in-country support can shape more personalised client journeys.
The Luxury Travel Collection program, hosted with destination management partner Wide Eyed Tours, travelled from Hanoi through Lan Ha Bay and Huế to Hội An. Advisors stayed at Fairmont Hanoi, Azerai La Residence Hue and Namia River Retreat, with an overnight cruise aboard Bhaya Soul.
Experiences included a vintage military jeep tour through Hanoi’s backstreets, a scooter journey through the Huế countryside, a basket boat ride in a Hội An coconut village and a market visit followed by a cooking class.
Almost 520,000 Australians visited Vietnam in 2025, up 19% on the previous year, according to Tourism Research Australia, reflecting continued interest in the destination.

Lisa Wright, Luxury Travel Collection Head of Events and Immersion Program, said the trip gave members a clearer view of both the destination and the support available to clients on the ground.
“This immersion let our members experience both sides of that promise. They came home with a deeper understanding of Vietnam and a clear view of the care their clients can expect on the ground,” Ms Wright said.
The program also encouraged advisors to look beyond Vietnam’s best-known stops, with greater focus on destinations such as Huế and Lan Ha Bay and more time spent with local hosts.
Following the trip, Hosted Holidays is developing a new Vietnam tour using properties visited during the immersion, while other advisors are planning client events, communications and new itineraries based on their first-hand experience.
