A new Australian owned marketplace for small ship cruising and private yacht charters has launched, bringing together products from operators around the world on a platform designed specifically for travel agents.
Cruise Smaller has been created by Sun Island Tours co-owners John and Paul Polyviou, building on the company’s experience selling small ship cruising across destinations including Croatia, Greece and Italy.
The platform allows agents to search and compare cruises by destination, departure date, cruise style and vessel size, with products ranging from boutique Mediterranean yachts and river cruises to expedition voyages in Antarctica and the Galapagos.
Paul Polyviou said the aim was to simplify what can be a fragmented sector for advisors.

“We wanted to build a dedicated centralised application that makes selling small ship cruising easier for agents, while giving them access to products and experiences they may not have previously considered,” Mr Polyviou said.
The marketplace includes operators such as CroisiEurope, Galaxy Cruises, Oceanwide Expeditions and Variety Cruises, with itineraries extending across Europe, Asia, Africa and polar regions.
A private charter section also provides access to more than 400 suppliers worldwide, covering bareboat charters, skippered yachts, crewed luxury yachts, catamarans and full vessel charters for families, groups and special interest travellers.

Travel agents can earn commission alongside Cruise Smaller credit on eligible bookings, while advisors registering through the launch offer will receive $50 in introductory credit towards a future eligible booking.
John Polyviou said the charter market represented another opportunity for agents handling private groups and clients seeking more customised travel.
“Whether it’s a private yacht sailing through the Greek Islands, a catamaran in Croatia or an entire small cruise ship chartered for a special group, we want to give agents the ability to source these experiences through one trusted Australian partner,” Mr Polyviou said.
